Privacy Policy

SB Financial Group's Privacy Notice and Policy explains how we use and share information about you as we provide financial products and services. Please read these policies carefully before using this site. If you do not agree to ALL of the provisions and terms of the SB Financial Web Site Privacy Policy please do not access this site or any of its pages. These policies were most recently updated on May 18, 2001 and replace all previous policies.

Because of the unique nature of Internet activities, we understand your concerns about sending confidential information by the use of your personal computer. As a result, we are committed to safeguarding your information.

No personal information is collected if you browse our web site. We do gather and analyze data regarding the use of our web site, including the date and time of individual visits, domain name, pages visited, length of user session, etc., to determine the usefulness of our site.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 through our site. If we become aware that personal information has been submitted through our site by a child under the age of 13, we delete the information from our system.

  • Information about your transactions with us
  • Information about your transactions with our affiliates or others
  • Information from a consumer reporting agency

  • Other general information collected about you that is not used for the purpose of determining your eligibility for products or services you may request, such as demographic information

  • Providing information in other business relationships such as check printers, credit card providers and data processing companies

In order to provide information about additional products and services that we offer to you we may disclose your nonpublic personal information to third parties that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements.

These third parties must agree to protect the confidentiality of your information. Since we restrict the sharing of your nonpublic personal information, no further action is required by you to limit such sharing.

Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure

Under the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you may direct us to not share or disclose certain credit information or nonpublic personal information with our affiliates. Credit bureau reports that we obtain from nonaffiliated third parties and information that you provide in your application are examples of the information that you may direct us to not disclose. If you prefer that we do not share such information, you may direct us to not make those disclosures, (opt out). Your request not to disclose this information does not include information that we are permitted to share by law, such as information related solely to our experiences or transactions with you. Examples of this include account balances and payment history, which is information that we are always permitted to share with our affiliates.

If you discontinue your account relationship with us or become an inactive customer we will continue to comply with the policies described in this notice.

If you have a joint account, any joint owner on the account can opt out on behalf of any other joint owner of the account.

If you wish to opt out of the disclosures, you may do so by directing us not to share any non-public personal information with our affiliates, other than non-public personal information relating to your transactions and experiences with us and sending a letter with your request to opt out in an envelope addressed to SB Financial Group, P.O. Box 473, Defiance, Ohio 43512. Please include your full name, social security number, account numbers, the name of our affiliate that your account is with, and your address.
